I am excited about another school year to serve the students, parents and teachers of Bolivar Elementary School. The 2015-16 School Year will be my eighth year serving as Guidance Counselor at B.E.S.
As a school counselor, it affords me a career opportunity that will allow me to utilize varied leadership and counseling skills to help students develop to their full potential.
Prior to becoming a school counselor, I obtained my master’s degree in Social Work from UT Knoxville at Memphis and served 10+ years as a family social worker. Thereafter, I received my licensure as a Master level Pre-K-12 Professional Counselor from Freed Hardeman University. My education and career experiences have equipped me to serve and better meet the needs of each unique child. I look forward to working with each of you.

Greetings,
This school year will be my tenth year as a school counselor at BES. Prior to counseling, I was a classroom teacher for twenty-one years. Most of these years were spent teaching grades 1-6. I received my bachelor’s degree in Elementary Ed. from Union University and my master’s degree in School Counseling from Freed Hardeman University.
I enjoy teaching classroom guidance lessons that help children make better choices. In these lessons, students acquire attitudes, knowledge and skills that contribute to effective learning in school and throughout life.
